Will this stain my white undershirt because of the coconut oil??

I’ve been using this recipe for about a month now. It has worked super well for most of the month, but in the past few days I have been starting to get burn marks in my armpits and they feel really dry...I don’t want to switch back to normal deodorant, but not sure how to fix this issue. It’s just odd that I didn’t start having issues until after a month so I’m not sure what I’m getting irritated by. Any ideas how to fix this issue? Thanks

The coconut oil I have does not get hard its always in a liquid form should I use it still?

This is far better than deodorant when it comes to deodorizing, BUT: There are issues. Firstly, the coconut oil stains your clothes. The solution is to use far less oil than is suggested here, giving a drier product. One needs to apply less of this compared to regular deodorant, for the same effect. Secondly, after a few days my lymph glands in my armpits began to swell and become painful. Considerable skin irritation also developed. I had to stop using this for a while. The solution was to alternate about every two days with this deodorant and "regular" deodorant.

I live in India, the only time I see solid coconut oil is during winters. I like my deodorant to be a little pasty . So, is it okay if I use a little extra arrowroot powder?

Another EXCELLENT Ingredient to add especially if you have a bad odor problem is food grade diatomaceous earth! It kills all kinds of nasty fungi and microbes! It will do wonders for people’s that have to use the toxic prescription deodorant!

Cheaper and better for our skin. In the hot weather last summer i got very sore underarms and needed treatment. K

I’ve been using this recipe for a while now. Exactly how you are doing yours, however my oil is separating from the arrowroot and backing soda. What to do?

Just made my very first small batch of natural deoderant...baking soda..corn starch ..coconut oil and about 20 drops of lavender essential oil..I tried it...smells great!!! And it does the exact same thing a commercial store bought deoderant does just no added chemicals..

Would you happen to have a substitute for arrowroot powder? I'm from the States, but I live in Chile in South America and no one can find this product here or knows what it is? Any ideas?

I get a flare up EVERYTIME I use store Deo :/ I'll have to try this ! I have been using lemon juice and it keeps my sweat from smelling.

I made this and have been using it for a couple of days (including spending time out in the hot sun and SWEATING!) and it actually WORKS for me!! I used cornstarch because that's what I had at home. My roommate even smelled up close at the end of the day and said I didn't stink, so it's approved. Super easy to make, and how great would it be if I never have to buy deodorant again and can just whip it up from regular kitchen ingredients. I'm loving it
